Selection Process

The selection involves four main stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

  • Computer-based test (CBT) format
  • 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions
  • Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Subjects: General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, Mental Ability, and Reasoning
  • Negative marking: 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer

Stage 2: Main Examination

  • Two papers totaling 1,000 marks
  • Paper 1: General Awareness & Hindi (400 marks, 2 hours 15 minutes)
  • Paper 2: Mental Ability & General Science (600 marks, 2 hours 15 minutes)
  • Top 5 times the number of vacancies from prelims will be shortlisted
  • Negative marking: 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer

Stage 3: Skill Test
